The Ambulatory Care Nurse Manager (NM) for the Vaccine Clinic is a self-directed nurse leader who is accountable to the Assistant Chief Nurse for Ambulatory Care. The NM ensures administrative support & guidance while providing oversight for the delivery of patient centered nursing care & management of nursing personnel & clinical resources. Systematically evaluates & provides administrative support for nursing care, program implementation, personnel management & overall clinic operations. Major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Provides oversight and leadership for vaccinations in clinic locations requiring knowledge of all vaccines, including Covid vaccines. Demonstrates leadership in delivering and improving holistic care through collaborative strategies with others. Participates in designing, implementing, monitoring, and revising systems to ensure cost-effective use of resources and enhances patient care according to Health Care System strategic goals and initiatives. Effectively addresses disciplinary problems and closely collaborates with Employee Relations to resolve issues. Takes corrective actions as necessary and assures staffing levels are maintained and continues to evaluate staffing needs; submitting requests for additional staff and/or to backfill vacant positions.
