Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Oversee daily clinical operations of multidisciplinary team across a region. Manage, develop, and coordinate operational activities at multiple ambulatory imaging sites.
Review and monitor staffing levels and productivity and daily operations of assigned areas.
Evaluate clinical practice of specified discipline and review clinical records to ensure standards of care and quality of services are provided in accordance with IDTF regulation. Keep up to date on regulatory issues as they relate to Medicare, Medicaid, CON, and IDTF.
Ensure the agency compliance with all legal and regulatory standards.
Develop and implement agency Performance Improvement activities.
Prepare and monitor the budget components for the clinical department. Perform analysis of financial information, reporting trends and patterns; prepare corrective action plan, as necessary.
Facilitate the team process including the interdisciplinary communication and negotiation skills. Assist teams in development of team goals and standards; evaluate the educational and competency needs of staff.
Manage and resolve concerns encountered by personnel in the development of objectives and goals, annual budgets, physical facility, equipment and supply needs, organizational structure, work distribution and operations process.
Perform all personnel functions including hiring, evaluations, promotions, disciplinary process, and scheduling.
Ensure that all employees are properly oriented, trained, and that annual competencies, certifications, and licensure and education requirements are current. Ensure that all personnel are properly trained on equipment and competent in its use.
Enhance professional growth and development of department staff through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
Work with all levels of the DUHS system to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and achieve effective use of imaging services.
Monitor the cost of operation per site/per procedure.
Manage the operating budget within assigned area. Review productivity and labor analysis and adjust staff to meet budget and flex FTE allotment. Create operational adjustments to ensure operating budgets targets are met.
Evaluate and recommend supplies, new equipment purchase selection and technologies; provide justification and prioritization of such needs; order procedural and operational supplies.
Oversee and ensure that exams and supplies are coded correctly and charged to maximize reimbursement.
Perform other related duties incidental to the work therein.
Required Qualifications at this Level
Work requires completion of an accredited Bachelor's degree in a clinical field such as Nursing, Social Work, Physical Therapy, Occupations Therapy, Speech Therapy, or a related field.
Work requires a minimum of five years of clinical experience, including supervisory experience.
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification
Professional licensure or registration in a clinical field is required. Master's Degree is preferred.
