You Will Be Responsible For:

Integrates evidence–based practice and (local, state, and federal) regulatory standards for hospital wide application. This includes but not limited to Joint Commission, CMS indicators, HCAHPS indicators, and ANCC Magnet empirical quality outcome indicators.
Manages data from all safety/risk/quality/service/performance improvement measurement systems and public reporting and maintains/develops dashboards and feedback mechanisms that ensure transparency and open communication of data.
Collaborates with Nursing Leadership, PSO, Education, and system Joint Commission to design and implement safety education modules for new employee orientation and continuing education.
Provides operational leadership in nursing administration (not applicable to 6072)
Assists the Director of Nursing in managing and educating the Nursing float pool
Able to act as a Nursing Supervisor as needed.
Partnered with the CNO, is the campus leader for Joint Commission readiness. Chairperson for Campus Joint Commission Subcommittee; responsible for coordinating the campus Joint Commission Periodic Performance Review (PPR); conducts JC patient tracers, aggregates, and reviews data with departmental leadership. Holds teams accountable for action plans; meets deadlines for monthly data submission; provides campus oversight for ambulatory, inpatient, procedural, preparedness, ED, and departmental tracers.
Understands and provides direction for nursing practice within the components of the Nursing Magnet Model that result in empirical quality outcomes. Maintains sources of evidence for empirical outcomes; patient outcomes, nurse outcomes, organizational outcomes, and consumer outcomes.
Coordinates the Magnet Nursing Coordinating Council: CNO or DON chair committee. Clinical excellence manager completes agenda, minutes, and tracks action plans. Understands governance structure and acts as resource for Nursing Practice Council (NPC) chairs. Maintains database for unit NPC projects.
What Will You Need:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
(If no BSN, must posses an approved education plan to achieve degree within two years
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
Current Florida Nursing Licensure (RN)
Master’s degree in Nursing
Minimum of 3 years of acute care clinical experience
Charge or Assistant Nurse Manager experience
Training and/or experience in leading process improvement teams
The Clinical Excellence Manager (CEM) is a registered professional nurse with responsibilities in patient, nursing, and organizational outcomes. The CEM serves as the campus Magnet Nursing Coordinator with supervisor responsibilities in Nursing Administration. This position also has collaborative responsibilities in coordinating the campus Joint Commission Periodic Performance Review (PPR) and conducts patient tracers to ensure Joint Commission readiness for the campus. The CEM is a passionate leader for safe, reliable, and patient-centered care.
