St. Luke's Cancer Institute in Boise, ID is currently seeking a part-time (.6 FTE) Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Pediatric Oncology team. The selected individual will be working alongside four physicians and one other APP for an average of three, eight hour shifts a week with some light call. This position would deliver a wide scope of ambulatory care for pediatric patients, including ordering chemotherapy, managing the side effects of chemotherapy, and follow-up for pediatric hematology, oncology and BMT patients. This role would also perform pediatric oncology procedures.

The St. Lukes Childrens Hospital and St. Lukes Cancer Institute in Idahos only pediatric cancer program and only accredited hemophilia center. Our pediatric oncologists and dedicated staff of skilled caregivers provide treatment and care for more than 200 new pediatric patients each year, from infants through young adults.

Oncology and/or pediatric experience preferred.

JOB REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• Graduation from an accredited school with a minimum of a Masters Degree and certification, as required by the specialty, as well as eligibility to obtain licensure from Idaho to practice as a Nurse Practitioner
• Must obtain and maintain unrestricted prescriptive authority, DEA, and controlled substance licenses.
• Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced, busy clinical environment related to changing patient needs, including work with patients with acute, chronic, and complex disease processes.
