Under general direction, manages the operational, financial and personnel activities for the Logistics Management function.
â�¢ Responsibility includes planning, development, management, coordination, and maintenance of operational/functional activities within Logistics Management, Mailroom and Laboratory warehouse.
â�¢ Identifies opportunities for productivity and quality improvement. Provides support and expertise to resolve operational problems.
â�¢ Develops monitors and revises functional process to ensure patient care needs are met in day to day operation.
â�¢ Identifies the need for policy development and/or revision, defines policies in collaboration with higher level management input, goals and objectives.
â�¢ Approves procedures /protocols and/or seeks other departmental approvals as appropriate. Provides input into the development and revision or organizational structure for Logistics Management.
â�¢ Develops current to intermediate goals and measures for the function, or processes. Measures and assesses performance.
â�¢ As requested, assists in long range goal development. Assists in development of and monitors budget .
â�¢ Ensures hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their supplies. Participates in various system value analysis committees to provide support recommendations for product conversion and implementation strategies.
â�¢ Ensures the timely completion of performance appraisals. Approves personnel actions such as hires, fires, disciplines, etc. Monitors activities for and ensures compliance with laws, government regulations, JCAHO requirements and DMC policies.
As directed, implements external and internal audit recommendations. Ensures hospital departments achieve objectives for diversity of their suppliers.
1. Associates degree in General Business and/or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience. Bachelors degree preferred.
