St. Luke's Health System is searching for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our clinic float pool team.

Unit/Position Summary

St. Luke's Health System has exciting full-time and part-time opportunities for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our team. The Ambulatory Clinical Support Unit is searching for Float LPNs who are looking to expand their skills by supporting the St. Luke's clinics in the Treasure Valley. Ambulatory CSU is a department that provides a high-quality float experience to the clinics and patients we serve and partners with clinics to provide exceptional, patient-centered care. The Float LPN works under the direction of an RN or team leader, providing nursing care to patients via data collection, assessment and documentation. This position requires the Float LPN to be energetic, flexible and willing to support the mission and values of the organization. The Float LPN supports three skill sets within the clinic setting and inter-facility floating is expected. Once orientation concludes, we offer a 10% differential in addition to the base rate.

Shift/Schedule:

• Day shift

  Part time and full time;

  May need to be flexible to work occasional weekends and holidays

Responsibilities

• Performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients.
• Documents information in patient record.
• Performs various direct patient care activities under direction of licensed patient care provider.
• Communicates information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care.
• Assists physicians and other nursing staff members with procedures as appropriate.
• Performs tasks and procedures as ordered by the physician or licensed provider consistent with approved protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Performs tasks that require a unique body of knowledge and skills for that area of service.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

• Graduation from a Licensed Practical Nursing Program

Certifications:

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure in the State of Practice
• Current BLS-CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
