The Nemours Cardiac Center has a faculty position open for an Invasive and/or Non-Invasive Electrophysiologist. Candidates with Junior, Mid-level, or Senior level experience are encouraged to apply. Nemours Cardiac Center is recognized as a leading provider of comprehensive integrated pediatric and adult congenital cardiac care in the region with outstanding outcomes. The Cardiac Center is an Integrated Care practice inclusive of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Cardiac Anesthesiology, Cardiac Intensivists, and Cardiologists, as well as a Magnet dedicated nursing staff and ancillary staff focused on the care of children with cardiac disease, allowing seamless continuity of care and collaboration. The inpatient care units are expanding beyond the current 14-bed designated CICU and 15 bed cardiac acute care unit. In addition, the Nemours Cardiac Center houses state of the art cardiac operating rooms, two cardiac catheterization hybrid, and an electrophysiology lab, in addition to a cardiac peri-operative recovery suite. The Nemours Cardiac Center participates in national registries and research networks and faculty collaborate in national organizations and multi-institutional research.
Our Electrophysiology services provide all aspects of services including: Catheter RF Ablation and Cryo-ablation, Electrophysiology studies, and Device Implantation with over 100 cases per year. We also provide specialized device clinics and multidisciplinary channelopathy, sudden death, and autonomic dysfunction clinics. We provide care of arrhythmias starting in fetal life though adulthood. There is a dedicated ARNP for EP services. Teaching and academic opportunities are available with academic appointments through The Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University.
Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Clinical responsibilities include:
- Perform and supervise invasive electrophysiology procedures, including diagnostic EP studies, catheter ablation procedures, and Cardiovascular Implantable Electronic Device (CIED) procedures.
- Maintain an outpatient cardiology practice.
- Provide inpatient arrhythmia consultation to cardiac and non-cardiac services, including night call.
- Read ECGs and ambulatory cardiac monitoring studies.
Nemours Cardiac Center is celebrating 25 years Anniversary this year and is an OPTUM Center of Excellence. The Cardiac Center also has dedicated cardiac nursing that is Magnet designated.
